At Vegacare Plus Support Services, we are proud to offer DVA Community Nursing Services, providing high-quality, personalized nursing care to eligible Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients. Our focus is to ensure that veterans, war widows, and their families receive the compassionate and professional care they deserve to maintain their health, independence, and overall well-being in the comfort of their own homes.
DVA Community Nursing is designed to support eligible veterans with a range of health conditions by delivering expert nursing care in a home or community setting. These services aim to enhance the quality of life, reduce hospital admissions, and support individuals in living independently for as long as possible.
Comprehensive Health Assessments:
We assess your health needs to develop a tailored care plan that supports your physical, emotional, and social well-being.
Wound Care and Management:
Expert wound care services to ensure proper healing and minimize the risk of infections.
Medication Management:
Assistance with medication administration, education, and monitoring to promote safe and effective treatment plans.
Chronic Disease Management:
Support for individuals managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or respiratory issues.
Palliative Care:
Compassionate end-of-life care tailored to provide comfort, dignity, and support for clients and their families.
Post-Hospital Care:
Assistance with recovery after hospital discharge, including dressing changes, mobility support, and follow-up care.
Our DVA Community Nursing services enable clients to receive professional nursing care while staying in their familiar home environment. This service is designed to promote independence and enhance your ability to live comfortably and safely at home.
Veterans and war widows or widowers who have assessed need for care at home and a: Gold Card are eligible for DVA Community Nursing. White Card holders may also be eligible for this service where the condition requiring nursing care is accepted by DVA as war related.
